Influenced by country and the blues, roots-rockers Delaney and Bonnie were a husband-and-wife team of the late 1960s and early '70s. The musically inclined couple met at a bowling alley in Los Angeles and married within a week. Best known for their "gazing into each other's eyes" performances, the duo often collaborated with other musicians. On-stage "friends" of Delaney and Bonnie included Leon Russel, Eric Clapton, Gram Parsons, Carl Radle, Bobbie Whitlock, Rita Coolidge, Duane Allman, Jesse Ed Davis and Dave Mason. The musical union disbanded when the marriage ended in 1972.
